Campus Energy & Area
Cornell's campus building space is growing but its energy use is decreasing. This decrease is driven by our Energy Conservation Initiative (ECI) which makes our existing buildings more energy efficient via modernized HVAC controls and installation of technologies such as heat recovery systems. Additionally, Cornell’s sustainable design and construction standards drive energy efficient and sustainable design concepts into newly constructed buildings.
