On occasion in this space we provide snapshots on issues of shared town-gown interest.

Cornell energy use and sustainability-related initiatives are components of the University’s North Campus Residential Expansion plan, currently going through municipal approvals.

The summary seen here captures some of Cornell’s world-class efforts, ranging from energy use reductions to important investments.

Cornell’s commitment to reaching carbon neutrality and using 100 percent renewable energy  by 2035 requires steady work over many years. The result of these efforts to date are reflected in this snapshot.

These day-to-day efforts are continuing with the LEED Gold North Campus project and around Cornell in general.

Finally, tied to the North Campus project, there are frequently answered questions regarding energy and other issues, with answers supplied here: cornell.edu/about-us/north-campus-residential-expansion/frequently-asked-questions.

As always, thanks for reading East Hill Notes.
