Are you ready for Sustainability Month? The month of April marks Cornell’s annual celebration of all things campus, community, and global sustainability. Events for Sustainability Month can be hosted by anyone. Simply create an event and follow the instructions below to have your activity featured in campus-wide publicity. Sign up for our newsletter to get the latest updates on Sustainability Month events.
Everyone on campus is welcome to plan events and celebrate. Last year, Cornell hosted 60+ events in nearly every college and unit.
How will you celebrate our commitment and progress, and new ways we can learn as a community?
How to Submit Your Event
Anyone on campus can host a sustainability-related event, program, or launch a resource to help us create a sustainable campus, community, and world. Start planning now for how your team, club, or group can participate.
Follow these instructions:
- Create an event in the Cornell events calendar
- The event should be hosted during April, but events hosted a few days before or after the month may also be included
- Tag “Sustainability” under “Departments.” Use the Ctrl button to choose multiple departments.
- Summit events any time during the month to be considered for inclusion in promotional materials
March 31st is the deadline to be considered for inclusion in the initial roundup of events for our April Sustainability Month promotions. However, if you miss that deadline please continue to tag your events throughout the month for consideration to have your event featured in weekly updates:
Do you have an idea about collaborating on events, or have a resource or other non-event promotion you would like to share for Sustainability Month? Email sustainability@cornell.edu for further support.
