Core to Cornell's 2035 Carbon Neutrality goal is the conversion of our steam-based distribution system to hot water. With over 150 buildings on our thermal energy network, all expecting steam to meet heating needs, we have a lot of work to do! We are partnering with ME Engineering, P.C., Mechanical & Electrical Engineering to hire an on-premises engineering consultant to help with that exact task. We're looking for an engineer who can advance our thermal performance goals and develop a program to accelerate our decarbonization efforts.
