Sustainability Month 2021

Join a program or event celebrating our culture of campus sustainability

Cornell University celebrates all things sustainability during the entire month of April, with dozens of events in film, fashion, art, wellness, social justice, climate change leadership, and sustainability topics.  Follow the Campus Sustainability Office on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter for more event reminders throughout the month!

Key Opportunities

Join a Sustainability Initiative

Take a short course to become a Residential Composter (open to anyone living on campus) and reduce campus food waste. Or, participate in the Freezer Challenge if you work in a lab.  We'll walk you & your team through simple energy-saving possibilities.

Pilot the Green Room Certification

The Residential Sustainability Leaders are seeking student participants for a Green Room Certification Pilot. We need participants who can help us improve the certification before a full launch in Fall 2021. Help us test the program - and make your living space more sustainable!

Recognize Student Leadership in Sustainability

The Golden Gorge Awards focus on recognizing the work of students, groups, and initiatives driving sustainability change.

Nominate a student leader or group by April 19th.  RSVP for the virtual awards ceremony on May 5th - all are welcome!
