Registration is open for the annual Sustainability Leadership Summit - don't delay!

The Cornell Energy Conservation Initiative completed a multi-phase comprehensive lighting upgrade earlier this year which replaced lighting in indoor and outdoor spaces with energy-efficient LED bulbs and has saved the campus over 18,000 tons of carbon and $2.9 million to date.

The Campus Sustainability Office is hosting Cornell's first Green Team Summit, open to all current Green Team members and all students, faculty, and staff interested in getting more involved in sustainability efforts on campus. Registration is FREE, and includes breakfast and a mid-morning snack.

The Sustainable Cornell Council (SCC) will direct and coordinate Cornell’s role as an international leader in addressing climate change and promoting sustainability by using the campus as a living laboratory and seeking regional and global partnerships to accelerate impact. The SCC will report to the provost and will provide progress updates to the Cornell community.

Join the chase! The first ever campus-wide sustainability scavenger hunt is coming to Cornell University August 23 to October 12. Cornell students, faculty, and staff can compete for over $600 in prizes!

On Friday, June 21st, Cornell participated in Daylight Hour 2019. 14 departments participated by turning off artificial lights and relying on sunlight, in an effort to reduce energy consumption in office spaces on campus and worldwide.
